Holy week is being spent with the family at my brother's house in Angeles. Scores of men doing self-flagellation pass by outside every couple of hours. There's also the 24-hour pabasa being sang from two houses; they're using loudspeakers.

after watching Suze Orman, i was surfing through our tv's programmed favorites (abs, gma, 23, etc, cnbc) and got curious about what i thought was a tv-movie which interestingly stars both kapuso and kapamilya talents. it turns out to be a 2006 digital film by Cris Pablo (maker of bayot films Duda, Bath house, etc.) called Pitong Dalagita. good thing the movie was just starting when i tuned in because it was really good. do click on the link for an objective review of the movie.
i don't have the time or energy to rave and share insights or what-have-you's but i just have to say that it really makes me happy to see pinoy movies like this where there is a genuine effort to tell a story in a very interesting, sincere and entertaining manner.
not that it matters, or that i was watching... i was playing one of my old pc games and i left the tv on so i wasn't really paying any attention. well, good for her; and for us as well.
now i really need to create those darn reports that i need to submit before lunch today.
had to hard reset my phone because it tells me that i'm entering the wrong password. but i'm very sure that i did not. and the last back-up that i did was like six months ago. kumusta naman yon.

so. my LJ posts now appear in facebook as well. and my facebook and LJ friends belong to different groups, so this is something new to my facebook friends (which are very few, by the way). i wonder what's happening to my friendster page... there's only one way to find out. laterz...
i don't know if this will work. if it does, then it's the coolest thing to happen to LJ. hehe.
we brought the boi's notebook to the service center this afternoon. i broke it while trying to uninstall vista. bios won't load anymore so i'm guessing it's a motherboard issue. we were told that we can do a follow up on monday, hopefully they' have fixed it by then or at least decide to replace the unit, if it comes to that.
so anyways, we are left with no option but to share my tiny blue sub-notebook. and since i'm used to leaving all of my accounts (mail, LJ, facebook, etc) signed in, i get surprised to discover that i'm not logged in to whatever site i'm trying to open. earlier, i replied to an email trail finding our after clicking the send button that i'm using his gmail account.

good thing i was able to stop myself from getting the ASUS eee pc when it first came out. the fourth generation of which is now out and priced at almost 30k. ACER, HP, MSI, and Red Fox have released their own versions as well and i was keen on getting the MSI wind when I saw the Blue Helium with the much better specs and is actually cheaper (same size, 10in). Proof that it has better specs is that I am now running Vista on it.
wanted to use twitter again after a very long hibernation and then i find out that post to twitter thru AIM is not allowed anymore. this is tough because i can only do meebo from the office and post thru IMs can only be done after installing plug-ins for YM or MSN.
speaking of hibernation, am trying to figure out how to enable the hibernate option for the boi's laptop.
George is the alpha male of the tigers in zoobic safari. he's the father of most of the young tigers there. i also got a short video of George eating a chicken. let me see if i can upload that.
fooled around with the Sunset setting of my camera. had an all-expense paid trip to subic last sunday with my boss, some of the other leads from our project, and our client. our last activity was sailing where i got my head injured by a pulley. we did not get enough instruction from our captain and it just so happened that there was a very strong wind.
the little thing was so adorable. and yet i can't help but feel sorry for her at the same time. what if she's already tired... her whole routine was like 30 minutes long.
holiday break was spent
listening to Kelly Clarkson's new album. already on the 11th track and i still haven't found anything that i like. gah.

i strong-armed by boss into letting me use the new support laptop that's supposed to be for my team. not that it's more powerful or something. well, it's new, has widescreen, longer battery life, and is not in superheated mode all the time unlike the old Dell that i was using. i was like, what's the point of being Team Lead if i don't get the better laptop?
